Hike the Canal & River Trails North of Summitville

Explore the newest addition to the trail walk locations with trail guide Kerron Barnes on this two-mile loop on Sullivan County's canal and rail trails north of Summitville. Recently opened links between the two trails at the Bova Road Interpretative Center and Summitville Road have made this new loop possible. See major canal structures and walk a portion of the O&W Main Line that ran from NJ to Lake Ontario. Peak fall foliage is likely. The trail is generally level with some short inclines at the entry points. Bring binoculars, camera, tick repellant and wear good walking shoes. Meet at the Sullivan County D&H Canal Interpretive Center located at 16 Bova Road in Summitville.
